How does an oil-free scroll air compressor work?
The working principle of an oil-free scroll air compressor is based on the rotating motion of the scroll disk. When air enters the compressor, it is directed between two intermeshing scroll disks. Due to the shape and rotation of the scroll disk, the air forms a closed space between the scroll disks. As the scroll disk rotates, these spaces gradually decrease and the air is compressed.
As the rotating orbiter rotates in the sequence shown in Figure 1-2-3-4, the volume of crescent-shaped compression chamber slowly diminishes, and the air inside the chamber is gradually compressed. Then, the compressed air is discharged from the center of the static disk.
During the compression process, there is no direct contact between the air and the scroll disk, so no oil will be mixed into the air.
