In response to the grand goals of "carbon peak by 2030" and "carbon neutrality by 2060", oil production companies, as traditional energy consumers and carbon emitters, how to achieve energy conservation and emission reduction under the "dual carbon" strategy has become an urgent and important issue in China's oil industry, and carbon neutrality has ushered in a "trend". ZKHT has proposed a smart "zero-carbon" oil production solution, which has been put into pilot operation in Xinjiang Oilfield, assisting oil production companies in practicing "dual carbon" work and achieving a leap from "0" to "1".
Hydraulic adaptive pumping unit, four major advantages for energy saving and emission reduction
At present, oil pumps are the "main force" of electricity consumption and carbon emissions in my country's oil fields, and their electricity consumption accounts for more than 40% of the total electricity consumption of oil fields. Taking Xinjiang Oilfield as an example, the electricity consumption of oil pumps accounts for about 54% of the total electricity consumption of the oilfield, making it the veritable number one electricity consumer. Moreover, with the continuous exploitation of oil fields, the beam pumping units, which are the "main force in service", have become the main obstacles to "reducing costs and increasing efficiency" for oil production companies due to their high power consumption, difficulty in adjusting the stroke and frequency, high water content in the produced oil, and high oil and water treatment costs. The intelligent hydraulic adaptive pumping unit successfully overcomes many defects of the beam pumping unit. In comparison, it has four advantages:
- Low power, long stroke, obvious energy saving effect
- Heavy oil cold production reduces production costs
- Hydraulic self-adaptation, significant effect of water suppression and oil increase
- Safe, easy to adjust, good stability

Intelligent hydraulic adaptive pumping unit
With these technical advantages, the intelligent hydraulic adaptive pumping unit can maximize the production capacity of oil wells, save more than 70% of electricity , and extend the service life of ground and underground equipment. The equipment works smoothly, is easy to adjust parameters, has a low maintenance rate, has good oil production economy, and effectively helps energy conservation and emission reduction.
Create a systematic solution for "zero-carbon" oil production
V&T (ZKHT) combines "carbon fiber composite sucker rods", "hydraulic adaptive oil production systems ", "wind and solar complementary power generation systems" and " off-grid power generation and energy storage systems" to create a "zero-carbon" oil production solution for smart oil fields, truly achieving zero-carbon emissions in oil production.

- The power of the intelligent hydraulic adaptive pumping unit is only 4 to 7.5 kilowatts, which is much lower than the traditional beam pumping unit (22 to 45 kilowatts), greatly reducing the power consumption of the equipment itself;
- It is equipped with a 40 kW wind-solar hybrid off-grid power generation system. Under the condition of 4 to 5 hours of effective sunlight per day, it can generate 160-200 kWh of electricity per day, which fully meets the power demand of the entire oil pumping system.
- The deep-cycle intelligent energy storage system stores excess electricity generated by photovoltaic and wind turbines during the day, and meets the electricity needs of the oil pumping system at night and when there is insufficient light.
Actual operating data proves that after replacing the traditional walking beam pump with an intelligent hydraulic adaptive pump, the daily oil production has increased from 0.5 tons to more than 1 ton , the daily average water content has dropped from the original 74.4% to 33.61%, and the daily electricity consumption has also been greatly reduced to the original 15%~20% . This has helped the oil field to reduce costs and increase efficiency, suppress water and increase production, increase oil and reduce costs, and has significantly promoted the development of green and low-carbon operations in oil fields.
